Early life and childhood 

Karan Dua came from a very humble family background. His father Vinod Dua, is a general employee and his mother,Vidya Dua is a local newspaper head. He faced a lot of financial crunch in his early life, as his mother was the sole breadwinner of the family.

After completing his schooling,Karan enrolled himself in an animation course but couldn't pay the fees. Although Karan wanted to get the ideal job after completing this course, in the end neither was he able to complete this course nor did he get a graduation degree. This incident made a lasting impression on Karan and he felt like a failure. Dua loved street food and whenever he used to go out for a walk, he used to upload pictures of his food on facebook. 

Career

His food blogging journey began when he got a call from a hotel who wanted him to review their food. This was the first time that Karan went to a place where there were other food 

bloggers all under one roof. After this, Karan’s life took a big turn and he was invited to major food events to review.  For managing Instagram, Facebook, setting up photo shoots, and vlogging for a restaurant, he received his first pay of 15,000 per month. After doing this for a while, Karam realised that he couldn't do it full-time as he had an extremely erratic income. 

This was when Karan Dua decided to start his own youtube channel called ‘Dil se Foodie’ and the first video he ever posted titled  ‘Computerised Cholle Kulche’ had a large number of views . He has over 1.8 million subscribers on youtube and over 1 million Instagram followers.

Dil se Foodie today has become a community where food lovers from all over the country have meet ups and food walks in different parts of the country. The previous meet ups have happened  in Janpath, Khan market in Delhi and also in Srinagar and Amritsar. His page continues to grow and so does his fan following. 

Personal Life

He is married to Sukriti Dua and together they also have an instagram page where they explore and try new delicacies. They recently announced that they are expecting their first child. Together they create fun content for their social media followers. Karan Dua’s net worth is 4-5 Crores.
