You can also create Pins to share your ideas with other people on Pinterest therefore this app lets you be part of community building too.
In this article we will help you understand everything about Pinterest and know How to use Pinterest for beginners in 2023. So let’s get going!
- Create an account
The first step is to create your account on Pinterest. Go to www.pinterest.com and click join Pinterest. You can either join via your Facebook or twitter or simply sign up with your Email. After signing up with these options you can upload your profile photo and get started.
- Explore your home feed
You'll see Pins, people, and companies Pinterest believes you'll love in your home feed and you can explore your home feed based on your recent activity. Additionally, Pinterest displays Pins from the boards and users you select to follow. So you can follow the accounts you like.
Additionally, you can look for Pins by entering certain keywords of your preference into the search box. Enter "Christmas party" in the search field to view suggestions for party food, presents and decorations.
- Create your own Board
To gather items you are interested in, you need to create boards. To do this, select your Board from the drop- down menu which is in the top right corner, then select Create a Board and you'll see a box appearing asking you to give your board a name, a description, and a category.
You can add different items to a board after you have created it. You can also invite people to pin to your board by selecting the edit board option at the top, but to do so, you must either follow the user. You can also create a secret board where only you and the people you invite can see your board.
- Create Pins
On Pinterest, you can make a variety of pins. To create a Pin, you can upload an image from your computer or mobile device. Additionally, you can make and save Pins from online photos as well. Each Pin you make should have a title, a small description, and a link to your website, if you have one. You can edit the pin at any given time, so don’t worry!
- View your profile
Find all of your saved Pins and boards in your profile. Additionally, you may view the boards and users you follow as well as who is following you in your follower list.. Your profile is visible to everyone at pinterest but your secret boards are kept private and can only be viewed by you. You can follow your new boards and create networking with new people and build a community that has a similar taste as yours.
