Who is Ranveer Brar?

Ranveer Brar Biography, Ranveer Brar is a well-known Indian chef, restaurateur, author, and television personality. He was born on February 8, 1978, in Lucknow, India. He grew up in a family of chefs and was interested in cooking from a very young age and realised that cooking and food has always been his passion.

Early Life 

Son of Ishwar Singh and Surinder Kaur, Ranveer Brar was born in a Sikh family. He did his schooling from, HAL school Lucknow.He also studied in the Institute of Hotel Management, Lucknow to get a more formal education in the field of culinary arts.

Career

Ranveer started his career as a trainee chef at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai at the age of 17. He then went on to work with some of the best chefs in the world, including Gordon Ramsay and Marco Pierre White. He also trained at the Culinary Institute of America in New York.

In 2001, Ranveer returned to India and started working as a corporate chef for the Radisson Blu hotel chain. He then went on to open his own restaurant in Mumbai called "Banq" in 2013. He also owns a restaurant in Boston called "Hush" and has plans to expand his restaurant empire globally.

Ranveer is also a popular television personality and has hosted several cooking shows, including "Breakfast Xpress," "Snack Attack," "The Great Indian Rasoi," and "Thank God It's Fryday." He has also been a judge on several cooking reality shows like "MasterChef India" and "MasterChef Australia."

Cookbooks

Furthermore, to his credit in the culinary industry, Ranveer is also a prolific author. He has written several cookbooks, including: "Come Into My Kitchen," "My Great India Cookbook," and "The Complete Indian Cookbook” to name a few. 

Ranveer is known for his unique  approach to traditional Indian cuisine and for his ability to combine flavours and ingredients in unexpected ways. He is also a strong advocate for sustainable and organic farming practices and has been actively involved in promoting these practices in the Indian culinary space. He believes in traditional and sustainable food practices and always tries to bring them to the forefront. 

Personal Life

He is married to Pallavi Brar,and they had a traditional Maharshtrian wedding on 14th July 2023. They also have a son named Ishan Brar.
