Who is Shehnaaz Gill?

Shehnaaz Kaur Gill is an Indian actress, model and singer and is best known for appearing in Punjabi music videos and participating in the reality show Big Boss season 13. she is 5.5 or 1.65m tall.

Education

She was born on 27 January 1993, and hails from a typical middle class family. She was born in Baes, Amritsar and did her schooling from Dalhousie Hilltop school,Dalhousie and completed her graduation from Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, and has a degree in business. When she was a college student, she was a typical student. Gill used to skip classes and spend the entire day at a college cafe.

Family

Her father and mother are Santokh Singh Sukh and Parminder Kaur. She has a brother named Shehbaz Badesha. She began her modelling career with the 2015 music video Shiv Di Kitaab.In 2017, she debuted as an actress in the Punjabi film Sat Shri Akaal England. 

She has also starred in a number of other films like , Kala Shah Kala and Daaka in 2019.

Career

She has  featured in numerous music albums, including "Pindaan Diyan Kudiyaan'' and "Majhe Di Jatti." She also appeared in the "Yeah Baby Refix'' music video by well-known artist Garry Sandhu. Shehnaaz has performed a number of well-known songs, including "Veham," "Range," "Sidewalk," and others.

In 2019, she participated in Salman Khan’s reality show Big Boss and finished as the second runner up. Her relationship with her co-contestant Sidharth Shukla became the talking point of the season and was adored by fans, who famously called the duo ‘Sidnaaz’. 

In 2020, Kaur appeared in Colors TVs reality show Mujhse Shaadi Karogi along with Paras Chhabra but the season was cut short due to the covid pandemic. Along with Bollywood and Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh, Shehnaaz Gill revealed the poster for her forthcoming Punjabi movie Honsla Rakh in February 2021. Sonam Bajwa, a Punjabi actress, and Shinda Grewal, Gippy Grewal's son, also appear in the movie. The movie released on October 15, 2021, in time for Dussehra.

Achievements

Gill was on the digital cover of Filmfare and received the "Promising Fresh Face" award at the ET Inspiring Women Awards in addition to being named 13th and 11th in the Times Top 20 Most Desirable Women on TV in 2019 and 2020, respectively. She lost about 12 kg in the six months following "Bigg Boss 13" in 2020. She claimed in an interview that she decided to lose the extra weight because she had been made fun of for it in the past.. She will also make her bollywood debut with Salman Khan’s movie ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’.
