1. P.V. Sindhu 

She is the top badminton influencers in the field of badminton today as her incredible journey to get to the top is inspiring for people around the globe. She won a silver medal at the summer olympics of 2016 and a gold at the world championship. She made us proud by recently winning the badminton bronze medal at the Tokyo olympics 2020 and strongly establishing her dominance in the sport. Her list of accolades is never ending and she has become the face of Badminton in India today by clinching top honors and victories at various tournaments. 


2.Saina Nehwal 

A former number 1 player, and the only one to achieve this feat after Prakash Padukone has appeared in olympics three times winning a bronze medal in London 2012. She has been instrumental in ensuring the female presence in this sport and she has won at least a medal at the BWF World Championship and BWF World Junior Championship. Pullela Gopichand was her mentor and helped her attain supremacy and achieve success from all fronts, she married P.Kashyap in a private ceremony in 2018. Today, she is one of the most successful badminton players in India.


3.Jwala Gutta 

She is a prominent figure in the badminton sports. Her awards and victories have gone down in history. Gutta and her partner, Ashwini Ponapa won a gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth game and the pair became the first Indians to have a medal at the world badminton championships. One of her accolades was being ranked in the top 10 category for both singles and doubles. She is one of the most popular  and successful badminton players.

4.Srikanth Kidambi 

 This popular badminton player became the number one badminton player in the world in 2018 and was the first Indian to win gold at the 2015 Swiss open Grand Pix Gold and the Indonesia super series in 2017. Amongst his other achievements he won Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold in 2013, the 2014 China Open Super Series Premier title,  and also the India Open Super Series title. He is an eminent badminton player and highly successful. 

5.Ashwini Ponappa 

Her pairing with Jwala Gutta has resulted in her winning many tournaments at the world championship.She has won a gold, bronze and silver each at the Commonwealth games and the Asian Championship. She was also the winner of the doubles title at the 2015 Canada open and is a prominent badminton player in India. 

6.Parupalli Kashyap

He has trained at the Gopichand Badminton Academy and was Awarded the Arjuna award in 2012. He is married to fellow badminton player Saina Nehwal. He won a gold medal at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games and was the Icon player for the Indian Badminton League team and the 2013 Bangla Beats edition. He has a severe case of asthma but that never deterred him from his path of success.

7.B.Sai Praneeth

In 2019, he became the first Indian male player in 36 years to win a bronze medal at the BWF Championship and also won a bronze at the BWF Junior world Championship whilst being a winner of so many international tournaments like 2017 Thailand and Singapore open and 2016 Canada open. He has made a remarkable mark in the field of badminton and is truly a force to be reckoned with.


8.Anup Sridhar 

His long career has had many achievements and he was a  gold medalist at the 2004 Athens Olympics and the 2005 World Champion. Anup's performance at the World Championships was rated among the top 10 Indian sporting performances of 2007. He was also the captain of the Men’s world championship also popularly known as the Thomas Cup and his phenomenal performances internationally made him a terrific player.
